Thomas B. Whitetree Thomas Break-In-Nail Whitetree, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in his hometown of Claremore, OK, where he was born on May 18, 1938. His life was marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a love for the simple joys in life. Thomas was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Mary Louis Whitetree and the last surviving sibling of Chester, Charles, Richard, Vivian, Betty, Louise, and Rose. His life was a testament to resilience and the enduring bonds of family. He was a devoted husband to Margaret Lee Whitetree; their loving marriage of 54 years was a cornerstone of their shared life. Together, they raised a family that included their sons Howard, Mark, and David, and their daughter Geneva McClain. Thomas was a proud and patriotic man who served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force for 23 years. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering sense of duty were hallmarks of his military career. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued to embody the values of integrity and respect that had been instilled in him. Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas was a man of many interests. He had a passion for fishing, finding solace and joy in the tranquility of nature. His love for Dodge trucks, especially those with a Hemi engine, was well known among his friends and family. An avid sports enthusiast, Thomas enjoyed watching Dallas and OU football, and he took particular pride in watching his grandson play football. Those moments on the sidelines, cheering and offering words of encouragement, were some of his most treasured times. Thomas was a gentle soul, known for his easygoing nature. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his words carried weight and wisdom. His presence had a calming effect on those around him, and his gentle demeanor earned him the respect and affection of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, embodied by his wife Margaret, his children Howard and his wife Sherri, Mark, David, Geneva, and his adored grandchildren Branden, Chelsea, Kelly, Phillip, Thomas, Alyssa, Abbygail, Gavin, Loren, and Arron. His numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews will also hold dear the memory of his gentle spirit. Thomas Break-In-Nail Whitetree's life was one of quiet strength and dignified simplicity. He was a man who found joy in the everyday and who cherished each moment with his loved ones. His gentle nature and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say farewell to this wonderful man, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the family he so dearly loved.
