Elsie Pauline Neel Elsie Pauline Neel Elsie Pauline Neel died Sunday May 18, 2003, at Grove Nursing Center. She was 82. Neel was born June 1, 1920. in Ottawa County to Rufus Herman and Mary Esther Winnie Smith. She attended Wyandotte Indian school and Chilocco Indian School. She worked as a nurse's aid for Kennedy House Health. She was a member of the Independenet Assembly House of Worship in Grove. Disabled American Veterans and the sc tribe of Ok. Survivors include One son, Richard Woltering, three daughters, Rosetta Spotterhourse of Oklahoma.Wynema Harris of Missouri, Winnie LaHunta Davis of Wyandotte. Several grandchildren and great - grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Burial at the Council House. Resource:Miami News Record
