Dwain Clark Smith June 28, 1948 – December 14, 2025 Dwain C Smith, 77, of Henrico County, Virginia, passed away on December 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Luke Smith and Thelma Augustine Cobb. Survivors include his wife, Lynne Salisbury Smith; son, Adam Smith (Lisa); daughter, Joy Smith-Lazzara; grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Sarah), Alex Smith, and Corrin Lazzara; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Smith, Olivia Smith, and Graysen Smith. Dwain enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was awarded the Army Commendation with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal with Three Bronze Stars, and the Sharpshooter Badge with Automatic Rifle Bar. The family has chosen to do a private ceremony at an undisclosed location. In lieu of flowers or casseroles, they ask that donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America at vva.org in Dwain's name.
