      Alex C Tyner of Wyandotte, OK passed from this life Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at St. John’s Hospital in Nowata, OK. He was 77.
      Alex was born on January 27, 1949 in Baxter Springs, KS to William Charles and Vera (Jamison) Tyner. He had lived in Wyandotte for the past 2 years moving from Tulsa, OK. He graduated from McClain High School in Tulsa, OK served in the U.S. Navy and received his Master's Degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO. Alex was a member of Seneca – Cayuga Tribe.
      Alex was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, William Oscar Tyner and Claude Tyner and 2 sisters, Grace McClellan and Marguerite Tyner.
      Alex survives by 1son, William Oscar Tyner of Wyandotte, OK, 1 daughter Tommie Ray and husband Randell of Monkey Island, OK, 1 brother, Gilbert Tyner and wife Wilma Jean of Rock Boy, MT., 1 grandson, Geoffrey Tyner and wife Nakota of Monkey Island, OK and 5 great grandchildren, Tuibitsi John Bighorse, Cynthia Dawn Tyner, Geoffrey Michael Tyner, Jr., Penelope Jean Tyner and Kayce James Tyner.
      Alex C. Tyner will lie in state at the Quapaw Tribal Summer House from Friday evening, March 20, 2026 to Sunday morning. Michael Roy Tyner, will officiate funeral services Saturday evening, March 21, 2026. Native American Rites will be conducted by Geoffrey Tyner and John David Ballard, Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 11:00am at the Bassett Grove Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma.
